The reverse seven day hut to hut trip starts with flying into Nuk Tessli and then hiking to the Wilderness Cabin.
Discover stunning alpine vistas, peaceful trails, and welcoming huts that showcase the rugged beauty of British Columbia.

Day 1 | Monday | Welcome to Nuk Tessli 

Your day begins with an exciting float plane journey from Nimpo Lake to Nuk Tessli.
Once you’ve arrived and enjoyed a quick snack, you can hike to any of our hiking / canoeing days.

Boundary Lake canoe day / North Pass Lake / The Three Brothers / The Lookout.

You have many options to choose from.

Day 2-3 | Tuesday - Wednsday | Hiking at Nuk Tessli

For this portion of your hut-to-hut adventure, it's time to immerse yourself in the wonders of Nuk Tessli.


You’ll have two full days to enjoy a variety of incredible hiking and canoeing opportunities:

 

For those seeking longer excursions with breathtaking alpine scenery, Angelheart Lake and Avalanche Ridge are two must-visit hiking destinations.

 

If you prefer a more moderate pace, North Pass Lake Loop and The Mammaries offer equally rewarding experiences.

 

Don’t miss out on a canoeing day! Boundary Lake and The Three Brothers are fantastic paddling spots—and the best part? No portaging required!

Avalanche Ridge

Day 4 | Thursday | Hiking to Wilderness Lake

The 11 km hike from Nuk Tessli to Wilderness Lake offers stunning and varied terrain.

You'll start by getting a ride to the other side of the lake and then climbing into the forest.
From there you'll keep going alongside a peaceful river.
Next, you’ll pass through a section of burnt forest, where vibrant new growth and wildflowers create a strikingly unique landscape.
From there you'll climb into the alpine with sweeping views of the Wilderness Valley before descending to the the lake and the cabin.

Day 5 | Friday | Moonlight Glacier

The trail takes about two hours with 200-meter elevation gain, leading you to the glacier and the picturesque Moonlight Lakes.

This stunning landscape features vibrant glacial lakes, a towering ice face, and breathtaking views, an ideal spot to pause and enjoy your lunch.

After soaking in the beauty of the area, you’ll make your way back to the cozy Wilderness cabin.

Days 6 | Saturday | Flat Top Mountain

Today’s adventure takes you up Flat Top Mountain, where breathtaking views await.

The journey begins with a 450-meter ascent alongside a creek, leading to the expansive Flat Top plateau.

From here, you’ll catch sight of the majestic Monarch Mountain, and Flat Top Lake, nestled in the alpine, is an ideal spot for a refreshing break before the final 150-meter climb to the middle pyramid.

At the summit, you’ll be rewarded with an awe-inspiring 360-degree panorama, showcasing the towering Coastal Mountain peaks, Nuk Tessli, and more.

Days 7 | Sunday | The Dying Glaciers Loop

Starting right from the Wilderness Cabin, this 9 km loop takes you along the shores of  the beautiful Lower Wilderness Lake before climbing up to the northern ridge of Wilderness Mountain.

From the ridge, you’ll be rewarded with sweeping views of the Charlotte Alplands.

The trail then continues higher along the Northern ridge of the Wilderness Mountain and turns around to the North Wilderness Glacier before descending beside the glacial river back to the cabin.

With about 500 m of elevation gain, this hike offers a stunning mix of lakeshore, alpine ridge, and glacier scenery all in one loop.​​

Days 8 | Monday | Time to go home

It’s time to bid farewell as you fly back to Nimpo Lake. 

Your departure from Nuk Tessli is scheduled between 10:00 and 11:00, marking the end of your wilderness adventure and your return to civilization.
