It offers amazing and unique BC hut to hut hiking experience in the heart of the the Chilcotin and the Coastal Mountains.
Hut To Hut hiking
The Wilderness Cabin is located at 1,700 meters on the shore of a pristine alpine lake.
Located 12 km from Nuk Tessli, the Wilderness Cabin offers a unique hut to hut hiking trip in the Coastal Mountains.
There are very few hut to hut hiking options in BC. Especially, hut to hut experiences that offer full board with comfortable facilities.
Hut To Hut hiking itinerary
There many options for our hut to hut experience but the most common one would be:
Day 1 - Morning flight into Wilderness Lake, get settled quickly and head to Moonlight glacier.
Day 2 - Hike up to Flat Top Mountain and the middle pyramid.
Day 3 - Hike the "Dying Glaciers Loop" on the North ridge of Wilderness Mountain.
Day 4 - It's time to move to your next destination, Nuk Tessli. An easy 11km hike will get you from Wilderness Lake to Nuk Tessli. You can choose to hike through Lower Flat Top for a longer and beautiful hiking day.
Day 5 - Canoe trip to Boundary Lake.
Day 6 - Hiking Angelheart Lake Loop.
Day 7 - Hiking to Avalanche Ridge or morning flight back to Nimpo Lake.
Just Wilderness Lake Cabin (Without Nuk Tessli)
It's also possible to stay at the Wilderness Lake Cabin exclusivity without the hut to hut hiking option.
You can stay at the cabin for 2 - 4 nights and explore the untouched wilderness of Wilderness Lake. Contact us for more info.
Wilderness Lake hut to hut hiking trips

Accommodation
There are two options for accommodations:
1. The cabin - The cabin has a loft on the second floor where we have four single beds next to each other.
In addition, the main cabin floor has a single bed/couch and couch that opens up to a comfy king size bed.
2. Tenting on the beach - Wilderness Lake has an amazing sandy beach.
We have a few 4 season tents (it can get windy sometimes) that can sleep up to two people.
If you want your privacy and great morning views, this is the choice for you.
*In both cases you'll get nice comfy mattresses and warm sleeping bags. You can bring you own sleeping bag if you choose or bring a liner.
Facilities
We have one compost toilet and one shower for your use.
There is a cold and hot running water in the kitchen and in the washroom.
It's always nice to come back from a hike and clean up before dinner.
Food
The Wilderness Cabin is fully equipped with a kitchen so guests can bring and prepare their own meals.
