The Pacific Coastal - Wilderness Lake option

Pacific Coastal has 3 flights a week to Anahim Lake: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The flights arrive and leaves Anahim Lake in the afternoon.
Instead of spending nights at Anahim Lake / Nimpo Lake, why not fly to a beautiful and secluded mountain hut?

How does it work?

Day 1 - Welcome to Wilderness Lake

You'll arrive at Anahim Lake on Tuesday or Saturday in the afternoon.

Tweedsmuir Air will pick you up from there (we'll arrange that) and drive you for 15 min to the float plane dock.
From there, you'll fly to Wilderness Lake just in time for a quick dip in in the lake and dinner.

October has the most perfect days at Nuk

Day 2 - Moonlight Glacier / Flat Top Mountain

After breakfast we'll have two options:

1. Hike up to Moonlight Glacier and Moonlight lakes. Explore the glacier (glacier walk is also an option) and the lakes and come back to the cabin in the afternoon.

2. Hike up Flat Top Mountain and get amazing 360 degrees views.

This is a great hike with alpine lakes, scrambling and amazing scenery.

Day 3 - Hiking to Nuk Tessli

The 11 km hike to Nuk Tessli is beautiful with quite changing terrain.
Starting with hiking in the alpine with the Nuk Tessli area in front of us, then going into the forest and along the river.

From there you'll continue through a short section of a burnt forest which will surprise you. With new vegetation and wildflowers all over, it is a very unique scenery.

The trail continues along octopus lake and finally gets to Nuk Tessli Lake (Whitton Lake).

Here you'll find canoes and a short paddle will get you to Nuk Tessli.
